Sr. Accountant - Greenlee Textron Inc
General Description: Reporting to the Controller, this position willprepare, examine, analyze and interpret accounting records for the purpose ofproviding accurate and timely reporting of company financial information.
Postdata to various ledgers, registers, journals and logs following generallyaccepted accounting practices and procedures.
Evaluatesubsidiary journals for errors and omissions and enter corrected data into thegeneral ledger.
Managethe payroll data to be able to book the entries, make mapping corrections,create the benefits accruals and perform its respective payroll reconciliations.
Responsiblefor the completing of the Federal and State Tax Package.
Responsiblefor multiple balance sheet and profit–and–loss account monthly reconciliationsand analysis. Summarize and communicate financial changes in a clear concisemanner.
Activelyparticipate in internal and external audits.
Assistsin controlling annual expenditures and streamlines the data processing supportrequired during month–end.
Prepareregular schedules, reports, audits, financial statements and presentations formanagement review and period closing.
Workwith functional departments to increase accountability and visibility ofinformation through improvement of business processes and controls.
Assistwith preparation and consolidation of annual budgets.
Reviews,redesigns, and enhances the on–line financial statements to ensure that theinformation reported reflects the company's financial position.
Responsiblefor closing books at month and year end timely.
The abovecovers the most significant duties but does not exclude other assignmentsrequiring equivalent or lesser skills.
Education / Experience / Language skills required:
ABachelor's degree in Accounting required.
Musthave a minimum of 8 to 15 years corporate accounting with a mid–sized to large Manufacturingcompany.
Strongfinancial statement preparation and management reporting experience as well as taxand payroll experience.
Tools & Technology:
Experiencewith Oracle required. HFM, Noetix and Payroll System desired.
Experiencein MS Office (Excel, Word) required. PowerPoint and Access desirable.Proficient in Excel.
