This position will be responsible for performing day–to–day general ledger accounting and financial reporting functions. The candidate should have demonstrated general accounting experience; be analytical with strong problem solving and technical skills; possess excellent communication and organizational skills; possess the ability to work with extreme accuracy under pressure; and demonstrate strong team building skills.
The ideal candidate will be self–motivated, detail–oriented with demonstrated problem solving and decision making skill.
Essential Functions Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and audit schedules Prepares general ledger journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis for areas assigned including, but not limited to accruals and intercompany transactions Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and deliverables with Parent Communicates and works with cross–functional teams on a regular basis, including the international accounting team, internal audit, revenue, finance, business intelligence, tax, and others Assists with the consolidation process and adheres to financial reporting requirements Facilitate external audit requirements Ensures company's policies and procedures are adhered to by internal departments and third–party accounting services including compliance with all aspect of internal control Works with the Manager to document and implement procedures to ensure internal control compliance Performs ad hoc analysis for Finance and Tax teams as needed Participates in special projects such as acquisitions, accounting system changes/upgrades and process improvements Mentors accounting staff to develop strong relationships with the team Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Experience and Education Minimum 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting at a mid to large size company Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) CPA certification is a plus Advanced Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel) required Strong analytical skills Must be very organized and detail–oriented Must be able to prioritize, multi–task, and work independently in fast–paced environment to meet deadlines Individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt to changing environment Experience in multinational company preferred Knowledge of large general ledger software applications
