Tax Accountant

Robert Half Financial Services are currently working with an Investment Bank in central London helping them source an Interim Tax Accountant for a 12-month assignment.

To be considered for this Tax Accountant position candidates must:

* Qualified CTA/ATII or accountant
* Have excellent communication skills
* Experience of Capital Goods Scheme calculations
* Experience of VAT rules pertaining to international supplies of services
* Experience of working across multiple jurisdictions

Start: ASAP

Rate: £55,000 - £60,000 per hour.

This firm is one of the leading investment banking firms with an internationally renowned merger and acquisition arm. This publicly owned firm was founded in New York 30 years ago and now operates across North America, Europe, South America and Asia.

The Role:

The individual would be responsible for the production of the tax packs across EMEA and Asia Pacific groups. The EMEA group consists of entities based in the UK, Germany, Spain and Dubai, whilst their Asia Pacific Group covers Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Japan.

Within this role, you shall cover Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Tax Risk Management as well as helping with some on ongoing projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of all working papers and tax packs for EMEA and Asia Pacific entities
• Preparation of monthly current and deferred tax provisions and journals for all relevant legal entities
• Preparation of statutory tax notes under FRS102 and IFRS Run a debtor report twice per month and credit control of any outstanding invoices
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns based on Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM) for the UK group, and for other entities where applicable
• Ensuring all taxes matters are dealt with a low risk appetite

Based in London

Rate: £55,000 - £60,000 per hour.
