This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong analytical background that is looking to expand their skills as a Junior Financial Analyst. The Jr. Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing the Company's monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and preparing monthly variance analysis, as well as, ad–hoc reports and analyses. This position is also responsible for monitoring revenues and expenses and trends, and to compare actual results to budgets and forecasts. The position is also responsible for helping prepare the annual budget and periodic reforecasts. The Jr. Financial Analyst should be self–motivated, well organized, and proficient with Excel. He/she should be able to work with a team and work independently. The position requires competent written and oral communication skills as this person will interact with personnel across the company and at all levels. The individual should also be able to independently prioritize multiple tasks and projects as assigned.

Duties: Include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparing monthly financial statements and line of business reports.
  • Investigating and preparing monthly variance analysis.
  • Support the company's budgeting and reforecasting efforts throughout the year.
  • Becoming familiar with and cross training on multiple management reports.
  • Recommend actions to management by analyzing and interpreting data and by studying existing and proposed changes to processes and procedures.
  • Special projects as required.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • 2–3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of finance concepts such as NPV, IRR, etc. is a plus.
  • Ability to work with other team members efficiently and professionally.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced level – very comfortable with pivot tables, v–lookup, data filters, and formulas).
  • Experience with or a desire to learn SQL, PYTHON, or some other high–level programming language a plus.
  • Experience with IBM Planning Analytics – TM1 is a plus.
