Senior Financial Analyst
The senior financial analyst will provide analysis relating to Corporate and global business unit performance, Sourcing and Marketing initiatives and Acquisition / Strategic Planning support. This position reports to the VP of FP&A, and operates in a matrixed environment with accountability to the Finance, Procurement, Marketing, and Corporate Development groups.
Finance (~60%) Assist in running the annual budget and strategic planning processes, including creating financial models and templates and collaborating with business units in preparation of financial projections and review materials Provide insights and analysis related to SG&A reporting for senior leadership Consolidate financial metrics (Price, Volume, Mix) by business and upload monthly to the consolidation tool (HFM) Support the VP of FP&A and Chief Financial Officer with recurring reporting, ad hoc analysis, and preparation of presentations as needed
Procurement (~25%): Lead the effort to create detailed cost inflation reporting by key vendor for each of our three business units Work closely with the Director of Procurement to analyze cost savings for key projects along with maintaining the cost savings dashboard for the business Generate detailed monthly expense reports for key categories by region (Direct material, Utilities, MRO) Other support to Procurement team as needed
Marketing / Business Development (~15%) Develop an understanding of the underlying trends and issues that impact our business and the end markets we serve Take ownership of all active market mapping models, subscriptions and databases (e.g., update, perform routine maintenance, coordinate with power users in each business unit, deliver reports to business leaders on consistent basis) Support analysis to triangulate information to help B.U. leaders with customer share–of–wallet analysis Assist in industry and company–specific due diligence related to transactions and internal growth initiatives Identification of information sources and collection of data to help drive market mapping across sterilization, lab testing, and other key market segments across Sotera Health
Candidates for the position will possess the following qualifications: A strong work ethic, detail orientation and a passion for excellence Working knowledge of general accounting and finance principles Prefer experience with Oracle HFM (Hyperion Financial Management Tool) The ability to excel in both team and self–directed settings Experience presenting information in front of a group A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word Four to eight (4–8) years of relevant experience Candidates should have experience working in a fast–pace professional environment and be able to hit the ground running Four year degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant field A proven academic record with strong analytical capabilities
