This position is responsible for the leadership of the Electronic Systems Center (ESC) finance function and team. This position is responsible for and will oversee the reporting and consolidation of ESC business and engineering projects and financials, forecast, and plans. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Financial reporting and planning in compliance with GAAP Journal entry and balance sheet account review and approval Oversee and assist with reporting and reconciliation of engineering labor hours and projects within the AutoTime payroll reporting system Intercompany billing and reconciliation Monitor and communicate financial risks and opportunities within the businesses Capital budgeting and reporting Manage and develop finance team of 2 direct reports Identify and drive process improvement initiatives within the organization Provide Financial analytics to Leadership team to support decision making Support ad hoc management requests for financial information and analysis Sarbanes Oxley compliance, reporting, and testing
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related, with a minimum of 7 years related experience In–depth understanding of financial statements & core finance/accounting concepts Experience with engineering project reporting and budgeting Strong analytical and problem solving skills Self–starter capable of working in a deadline–oriented environment Ability to recognize key issues and effectively communicate those to management Strong written and verbal communication skills. Team oriented leader with the ability to develop talent Good interpersonal skills, including the ability and desire to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with others throughout the business and finance organizations Strong spreadsheet, power point, and financial systems experience (SAP and HFM)
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or CPA preferred but not required U.S. Government accounting experience is a plus
