The ideal candidate for this position will be an integral member of the US Financial Planning & Analysis team, supporting the Salix Business Unit. This position will be located in Bridgewater, NJ and will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Finance.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Participate in US commercial Business Unit P&L management including: Month and quarter end closing activities, including accruals, review of commitments and invoice payments, accounting transaction research, and correcting entries as needed Analytic, accounting and financial reporting support, including monthly explanations of actuals vs. plan/forecast expense management, analysis and forecasting Drive on–going process improvements for financial planning & reporting tools and systems by meeting with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify opportunities and develop an implementation strategy Focus on assisting individuals throughout the organization with various ad–hoc analysis and financial modeling requests to support management decision making. This position will require the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and become a subject matter expert in the areas related to Financial Reporting and Systems
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry supporting commercial business The candidate must be comfortable operating independently in a fast paced environment and must have strong analytical and financial system competencies Hyperion and Peoplesoft experience is a plus High ethical standards, strong verbal and written communication skills, and team player Ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including senior management Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to implement process improvements, create efficiencies, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
