The Opportunity
The GFPA team supports governments and intergovernmental organisations across the spectrum of fiscal policy, providing policy advice, technical assistance and capacity building in the areas of public financial management, tax reform, and governance and transparency. . We are looking for a Manager grade to join the team. The role is based in London, although language skills and flexibility to travel would be an advantage. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects for clients in a range of international contexts.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to being:-
•The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects for clients in a range of international contexts
• You'll also be responsible for taking a lead role in the support and development of the junior members of our growing team.
• You'll get the opportunity to work directly with partners, directors, and technical specialists in areas of tax and different territories.
• You should be interested in being an all-round business adviser who enjoys working closely with clients to provide them with proactive innovative and commercial tax services.
Essential Qualification & Skills
• Candidates will preferably have a Masters or PhD in a field relevant to the team's areas of expertise (public policy, economics, public finance, or similar),
•Be a self starter, and be able to develop trust and relationships with key internal stakeholders.
•Be willing to embrace new areas and regimes and develop a marketable proposition.
• An enthusiasm for creative solutions to address policy issues.
• Experience of being out in the market in direct contact with clients and contacts.
• Excellent project management and team working skills.
• Experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• You'll be self-motivated and have an appetite to support business development efforts to secure new opportunities for the firm.
• You'll have a focus on self-development and in the progression of others in your teams.
