The duties of Staff Accountant include fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and the preparation of monthly and year–end closings. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, you'll also be charged with various aspects of internal reporting. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.How you will make an impact– Ad–hoc reporting and special projects, as requested– Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation– Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules– Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation– Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting– Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP– Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll– Take part in various department–wide initiatives– Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision– Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable mannerPlease submit your resume to today.

– Excellent attention to detail– Recent and relevant accounting experience– Competent with spreadsheets and databases– Knowledgeable of ERP systems– Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment– Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines– Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required– Spreadsheet and database capabilities– Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills– Self–starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems– BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics– General ledger experience desired
