Rotheram Carrington Financial recruitment is working with an award winning manufacturing business based in the South Cheshire / Crewe area. Our client is a well-established organisation who is expanding rapidly and embarking on a new strategy to expand its current business model. This is a rare opportunity to work hands on with the dynamic management team and to be able to enhance the current business model. The business supplies premium tier products to some of the major UK retailers and also to the Global market. Role:

To support the Finance Director in delivery of the accounting operation, to include leading the production of periodic financial reporting, maintenance of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Company's financial results and ensure that reports comply with financial reporting standards.
  • To proactively lead and manage the accounting function and ensure robust financial controls and measures are in place across the business.
  • To provide support to the Finance Director.
  • To compile the monthly and annual financial results in a timely, accurate, professional and agreed format.
  • To manage the Bank Accounts and make payments where necessary.
  • Maintain a robust profit and cash flow forecast model for the business and being cognisant of banking covenants and funding.
  • To manage the annual audit process providing timely information.
  • Track direct labour costs and factory overheads.
  • Track cost savings initiatives and validate against spend.
  • To provide ad-hoc reporting to the wider management team.
  • Provide support to the ERP system implementation project.
  • To manage the day to day relationship of outsourced functions including IT Support.
  • Lead, Motivate and develop the team and proactively look to upskill the team. Define appropriate performance metrics and targets.

Candidate requirements:
  • ACCA/CIMA accounting qualification
  • Previous manufacturing experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop sound working relationships with all levels of staff
  • Advanced Excel skills
