Senior Financial Analyst

The Daily

  • Prepare financial analyses related to strategic business plans and other ad hoc initiatives, through development of detailed financial and operating models
  • Regularly prepare detailed historical and projected models for CRO and its divisions to assess financial and operating performance
  • Understand the key drivers of CRO's business, and analyze and summarize the latest financial outlook for communication with executives
  • Assist in the development of business plans for new initiatives
  • Routinely analyze the financial forecast for CRO, as well as its domestic and international competitors
  • Track macroeconomic and competitive data in key international markets o Regularly summarize media industry trends and news
  • Assist in driving formal financial and strategic projects including 10–year modeling and various budget / forecast processes
  • Coordinate ad hoc projects across both CRO and all of Warner Media
  • Help draft memos and presentations to senior management as part of strategic reviews and forecasting/budgeting processes o Support CRO CFO with ad hoc analysis and projects
  • Assist in communication of CRO financial and operational activities to Warner Media and AT&T Corporate teams
  • The Essentials
  • BA/BS degree minimum, preferably in Finance, Engineering, Accounting or Economics
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant work experience including transaction modeling, research gathering; FP&A, investment banking, or consulting background preferred
  • Superior analytical and modeling skills with sound knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
  • Understanding of valuation and corporate finance, including DCFs, comparable company, and returns analyses
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrable success of working well in teams as interaction and cooperation with many groups and functions across Warner Media is essential
  • Highly motivated with ability to multi–task and work with minimal supervision in a fast–paced, deadline–oriented environment
  • Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Preference for a knowledge of and passion for entertainment and media
