Purpose
Responsible for the installing new schemes, processing claims, issuing of "On risk" letters, policy documents, preparation of claims experience including group life, disability, funeral, credit life and group personal accident benefits.
KPA's / Key outputs
- Checking data received for completeness and reasonability.
- Installations, Renewals, Terminations of Risk Schemes.
- Prepare medical underwriting letters
- Assessing of claim documents within the Funeral, Group Life, Permanent Disability and
- Temporary Total Disability/PHI benefits and ensuring accuracy on settlement values
- Compiling results into report format.
- Providing underwriters with necessary documents for approval.
- Following up with underwriting, interpretation of decisions taken.
- Issuing of policies and renewal documents per industry standard
- Experience with Ombudsman queries handling.
Qualifications and Experience required
- Matric
- Preference will be given to candidates with a relevant tertiary qualification or employee benefit related studies.
Knowledge
- An excellent understanding of risk benefit structures and policy conditions in an employee benefits environment is required.
- Previous exposure to either the preparation or comparison of risk benefit quotation would be an added benefit.
- Processing funeral, death and disability claims.
