Job Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze and document business and functional requirements resulting in comprehensive design solutions

  • Responsible for conducting Requirement Sessions, Fit–Gap Analysis, Process Modeling (As–Is and To–Be), Use Case modeling

  • Document detailed requirements/business rules, use case specifications including wireframes and/or screen design / mockups, process workflow and context diagrams

  • Responsible for evaluating information gathered from multiple sources

  • Determine user requirements for business processes

  • Conduct requirements walk–thru for Business Users, Design, DEV, and QA teams

  • Interact with cross–functional teams to clarify and confirm requirements/business rules, design specs, wireframes, and prototypes

  • Collaborate with Design/DEV team and SMEs to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs

  • Proactively conducts Impact Analysis, participates in defect triage meetings

  • Review QA test cases to confirm test coverage of all business and functional requirements

  • Maintains traceability matrix (defined priorities) between business / functional requirements, use cases, design elements, and test cases

  • Ability to prioritize independently, multiple requests and functional requirements

  • Assists in developing user acceptance tests, user guides and training

  • Provides ongoing functional support for DEV, QA, Deployment and Release teams

  • Job Qualifications


  • 8 to 12 years of experience in the Information Technology

  • Strong understanding of Business Analysis methodologies, principles, procedures, and practices, tools and techniques, and documentation

  • Demonstrated experience documenting quality requirements, business rules, use case specifications, modeling and workflows for custom portals and COTS based solutions

  • Expert in Prototyping tools, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Office Tools, HPQC, JIRA, SharePoint

  • Effective in verbal and written communication

  • Problem–solving and trouble–shooting skills

  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process & product quality and reliability

  • Must be extremely detail–oriented with respect to documentation and communication

  • Nice to have experience in gathering requirements for mobile platforms

  • Bachelor degree in business, information technology or related field

  • Preferred:

  • Experience with public sector consulting

  • Experience with COTS Products (e.g. Licensing & Permitting, Inspections, Insurance, HR)
