My client are a leading brand when it comes to Technology, and are committed to providing products of the highest quality.

I am currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join their team. You must have advanced excel skills and excellent interpersonal skills. You do not need to have any accountancy qualifications.

Location
Basingstoke, RG22

Rate
£18 per hour

Contract
6 months (potentially ongoing)

Working Days
Monday - Friday (full time)

Key Responsibilities
CATS Platform
  • Extract and validate time sheets from CATS.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis based on time entered by contractors as requested by management.
  • For non 3SS users, validated time sheet would be goods receipted on a monthly basis.
  • Support any issues related with CATS system.
  • Resolve queries in a timely manner to ensure that that payments run smoothly.

PO Processing & Supplier Account reconciliation
  • Review and ensure that all purchase orders raised are to the appropriate GISC Coding
  • Where Purchase Orders have been incorrectly raised, contact the P2P helpdesk to have it amended or reallocate the cost or income to the correct codes in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile goods receipt quantity to invoiced value to ensure all are matched on monthly basis
  • Investigate and resolve issues where there are discrepancies between GR and IR quantity.
  • Review the P&L account for Purchase Orders that have had full year goods receipt completed with a view of having them prepaid.

Month End Closing
  • Liaise with the central finance team to ensure that accruals, reclassifications and prepayments are booked correctly and in a timely manner. (Some journal processing may be required)
  • Support in the GISC FTE Analysis reporting
  • Liaise with GSIC Service managers where there are significant variances between budget and actuals.
  • Prepare detailed analysis and commentary for overall period end result.
  • Prepare ad-hoc report as at when requested.
  • Review and prepare the Billing process with different SOBs

Budget Process:
  • Support the annual budget process i.e. Providing forecasted headcount numbers.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to GISC-EU Budget process i.e. formulating the budget, liaising with budget holders and challenging assumptions.
  • Keeping track of KPI's


Experience
  • University degree or equivalent in finance related subject
  • Experience in a relevant financial role in a large multi-national business preferable
  • Advanced Excel skills required: Excel Database management, pivot tables, chart analysis, basic functions, etc
  • MS office in general
  • Experience of SAP R3 and BW
  • Excellent communication skills - Effective communicator both verbally and in writing, exhibiting good questioning, listening skills and able to present opinion.
  • Ability to explain financial concepts to all levels of customer, internal and external, financial & non-financial. Strong Influencing skills desirable. Communication will be with internal staff & 3rd parties.
