Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Retail division's budgets and forecasts, key performance indicator (KPI) and operational dashboard reporting as well as being involved in critical business projects.

Responsibilities include:

- Driving and co-ordinating the budget and forecast processes, ensuring that budgets and forecasts are accurate, comprehensive and completed in a timely manner
- Assisting in the development of the key assumptions and drivers for the annual and long-term plans, including developing and implementing robust financial models to reflect business trends
- Assisting the Retail Financial Director in identifying profitability pressure points and refining the Retail financial operating model in order to ensure optimisation of the divisions returns
- Managing the budget and forecast timeline
- Providing budget and forecast guidelines and technical assistance for budget and forecast preparation
- Preparing and maintaining the budget and forecast policies and procedures manual
- Controlling, maintaining and developing KPI and operational dashboard reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Monitoring key KPIs and market indicators
- Variance reporting, trend analysis, reviews and detailed investigations
- Ensuring uninterrupted service of daily, weekly and monthly system operational reporting
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing presentations for all key internal management meetings
- Reporting development, ensuring quick turnaround for operational reporting needs in line with changes required by the dynamic business environment
- Owner of the BPC budgeting and forecasting system for the Retail division
- Key support for the implementation of BPC financial system
- Responsible for ad-hoc financial analysis, special projects, and other similar or related duties

Requirements:

- Chartered accountant with minimum 2 years' experience
- Microsoft Excel intermediate
- PowerPoint intermediate
- BPC / SAP / BI knowledge advantageous
