Our client is a retail property Investment Fund Manager that specialises in the formation, operation and management of real estate funds that own properties let to the EU's largest food and other necessity-based retailers.
The Funds operate under a core+ income producing buy and hold strategy. The largest fund has assets of c.€700m.
In 2019 our client began the implementation of its international expansion strategy, commencing with South Africa.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced, (10 years+), Investment Property Consultant to proactively develop a panel of introducing Financial Intermediaries (the "Brokers") in South Africa.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join an established European Real Estate Investment Fund Manager and be an integral part of its expansion in South Africa.
This role will report into the Head of Distribution in the United Kingdom.

Main Responsibilities

- Proactively develop, manage and expand a panel of introducing Financial Intermediaries (the "Brokers") across South Africa.
- Establish and develop potential investment pipelines through consistent and proactive prospecting and activity.
- Achieve agreed strategic individual targets.
- Maintain a high awareness and knowledge of the market, including industry, competitors and internal activities to ensure that all business opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Work under the direction of the Head of Distribution in Dublin, Ireland.
- Represent the company in a professional manner.

The Person

You will be an experienced, proactive, self-motivated, Investment Consultant, preferably in the property asset management space, well connected and FAIS compliant; who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Education

- Degree in a related area or equivalent qualification.
- Significant relevant experience without a qualification will also be considered.
- FAIS compliant.

Experience

- At least 10 years of experience in developing and managing Broker relationships.
- Proven track record of successfully managing Broker relationships.
- Experience in developing potential investor pipelines.
- Experienced at meeting targets.

Abilities

- Self-motivated, with an energetic, pro-active approach to work;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; well connected with an excellent track record of maintaining Broker relationships.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work under time pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable in their approach to work and in their attitude.
