The Company
REED Accountancy are delighted to be working with our client, a well known FMCG business based in Belfast, close to the City Centre to recruit a Supply Chain Accountant.
The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for the production, analysis and distribution of key reports which are used to monitor and report on all aspects of profitability and margin performance to drive the business and provide value-adding financial and management information.
The main purpose of the role will be to:
• provide support to the Financial Manager, Supply Chain Director, Head of Supply Chain and operations team in all areas of management and financial reporting.
• be a key player in the management reporting (weekly/periodic/quarterly), quarter-end hard close, forecast/budgeting and year-end audit processes
• develop and drive a business partnering approach which delivers insight and challenge to the operational management team and the wider business
• train, motivate and develop the accounts team
• lead and manage the development of reporting, both for Finance users and all other stakeholders across the business
The Person
Essential Criteria
Qualified Accountant with membership of a professional body e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA
3 years' post qualification experience working in a fast-paced commercial environment
Previous experience of managing a team of people to achieve results
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, especially with respect to large data sets
Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Good knowledge of Accounting Standards and practices
Ability to demonstrate strong initiative and an achievement orientated approach to results
Desirable Criteria
3rd level qualification
2 Years Post Qualification experience in the retail/wholesale sector
