Financial Accountant - Fixed Term Contract

Our client is looking for a Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant to join their exciting team in Swindon. This is a maternity cover to provide full accounting support in the preparation of monthly management accounts.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

Assist in the preparation and posting of nominal ledger journals
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reports in liaison with the Senior Finance Business Partner
Assist in preparation of month end schedules
Preparation of management accounts for member groups
Preparation and reconciliation of Group Quarterly VAT returns
Statutory accounts and tax return preparation (alongside the FC) and leading the year-end audit management.To be considered for the role of Financial Accountant, you will be/have:

Part-qual or recently qual ACA/ ACCA, with a minimum of AAT qualification
A minimum of three years' experience within a Financial Accountant role (or equivalent).
Proven experience of accounts prep, appropriate reconciliation, posting journals, determining accruals and producing reports.
Strong Excel skills with previous ERP usage experience.
Action-orientated, full of energy and keen to progress and develop.
Fantastic problem-solving skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.The role itself...
