School Accountant

Part Time, 52 weeks per annum

With a turnover in excess of £17m pa the School Accountant has a key role in the management, control and reporting of the School’s finances, reporting to the Bursar/Director of Finance and Operations (DFO).
The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound grasp of financial principles, a proven track record in financial management, attention to detail and a customer focused approach.
Responsible for the management of the School’s financial systems, processes and Accounts staff, the School Accountant will ensure compliance with legislation and the School’s policies and procedures. As well as leading on the provision of financial advice to Heads of Department, the Senior Leadership Team and Governors, the School Accountant will have an enthusiasm for driving cost efficiencies and structuring budgets to meet the strategic needs of the School as set out in the Whole School Development Plan (WSDP). Good line management and sound inter-personal skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively as a member of the bursarial and wider school team.
