Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:

• Responsible for full processing and management of the Company payroll processes; weekly and bi–weekly payroll for approximately 15,000+ employees.
• Manages the payroll invoicing process as it relates to the Company's managed properties.
• Reconciles and ensures timely tax filings to IRS and state agencies monthly, quarterly and annually
• Manages the accounting and reconciliation process and partners with the accounting team to identify and work through variances.
• Responsible for transitions in and out of the Company's portfolio.
• Works with the Business Systems Development team on system issues and updates including system updates and year end testing.
• Generates ad hoc and custom reports on as needed basis
• Ensures procedures are updated and utilized properly by the Payroll staff.
• Maintains a high level of knowledge and expertise in current applicable payroll laws and regulations.
• Encourages team work and collaborative attitude
• Performs other duties as required
• Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications for the Payroll Manager:

• Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) in Business or related discipline; one to two years of supervisory experience and at least 5 years payroll experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Prior supervisory and management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex information in order to improve practices or develop new approaches.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
