Knowledge and Skills
a)Knowledge:
•Degree holder in business, accounting, law or related disciplines, or other relevant qualification e.g. CAMS.
•Minimum 5 years of AML compliance/ relevant experience in international banks and total 10 years of relevant compliance areas.
•Thorough knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements.
b)Skills:
•Work with minimal supervision
•Able to address, analyze and resolve issues with minimal assistance.
•Self-motivated, independent and pleasant personality with good communication skills at all level.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Chinese.
•Good understanding of banking business and operations.
•Strong investigative and analytical ability and detailed oriented.
Accountabilities
Assist AMLCO to:
•Maintain relationships between BMO China and AML regulatory and other authoritative bodies, including providing information as appropriate;
•Periodically review BMO China AML policies and procedures; ensure AML policies and procedures are compliant with applicable legislation and enterprise AML requirements, and are timely submitted for approval and filed to related regulators.
•Advise business and 1st line functional departments of the applicable AML Program requirements, changes in legislation, regulator expectations, and developments in AML practices, and maintain or facilitate the access to current legislation;
•Handle AML related escalations, e.g. PEP, STR and Sanction, etc.
•Conduct assessment result review for Inherent Risk Assessment and Control Effectiveness Assessment;
•Develop BMO China AML training programs and oversee the appropriate delivery;
•Prepare and timely submit internal and external reports;
•Assess AML risk of new products/initiatives;
•Support Corporate Audit to conduct effectiveness testing;
•Cooperate with respective stakeholders for regulator onsite inspection;
•Other tasks assigned.
