CAREER OPPORTUNITY
HEAD - FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS - INVESTOR RELATIONS & TREASURY
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the CFO the incumbent will be an impactful difference maker who interacts with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), while also serving as a strong leader within the Finance Department. The incumbent will work cross-functionally and lead special projects, support, manage and evaluate multiple teams, which will be responsible for a wide range of areas and deliverables. These teams have internal and external business partners, with whom productive working relationships will need to be developed through consistent communication and interaction. The job requires very strong interpersonal and communication skills, a well-developed network, and the ability to manage multiple work streams at a time.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
* Developing a comprehensive investor relations framework and strategy and build confidence in the company's vision
* Managing relationships with analysts, investors, and individual shareholders
* Providing market insights including financial trends, shareholder concerns and competitor actions
* Overseeing and managing quarterly earnings calls as well as preparation of the Annual Report
* Managing the company's cash on a daily basis including short-term and long-term forecasting
* Leading an environment of governance and process to mitigate risk associated with cash management
* Managing relationship with bank portfolio, both with investment banks and commercial/retail banks
* Developing capital allocation strategy and be able to execute on that strategy
* Managing effort to remain in compliance with all existing and future debt agreements
* Developing a deep understanding of the Jamaican and broader energy markets, customers, and products for budget and forecast processes
* Identifying trends, summarizing findings and providing recommendations from analyses to both finance/non-finance personnel
* Performing ad hoc analytics on large/diverse datasets using various tools and techniques
* Leading routine communication to Executive Leadership Team on performance and execution of critical financial initiatives
* Leading communication of monthly internal and external financial results, including analyses of forecast performance
* Coach and develop team with focus on personal and professional growth within Finance
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* MBA, MSC Finance or Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 7 years post qualification experience
* CFA or ACT (Association of Chartered Treasurers) designation would be a distinct advantage
EXPERIENCE/LEARNED DISCIPLINE
* A minimum of five years in a senior capacity in a financial environment
* Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
