Finance Systems Support Analyst / Assistant Reporting Accountant - Edinburgh
Salary c. £25,000 - £33,000 + Excellent Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Systems Analyst / Assistant Systems Accountant to join a forward thinking and successful commercial business in Edinburgh on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will work across group reporting and finance systems and support the reporting of consolidated results and analysis; supporting users, managing the integrity of data, supporting the forecasting and budgeting process, maintaining financial spreadsheets and helping to create and consolidate monthly reporting packs.

The successful candidate will work across group reporting and finance systems and support the reporting of consolidated results and analysis; supporting users, managing the integrity of data, supporting the forecasting and budgeting process, maintaining financial spreadsheets and helping to create and consolidate monthly reporting packs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Consolidating and reviewing weekly flash data
- Maintaining key reporting templates for issue to regional finance teams - forecast, budget uploads, month end reporting files.
- Supporting the month end consolidation process, ensuring submissions and commentary are timely and accurate
- Performing month end and forecast data checks, ensuring high level of data integrity
- Producing month end reporting packs for executive team review meetings - preparing system review packs, compiling commentary and data submissions into presentable formats
- Maintaining & and consolidating additional analysis templates, e.g. variance and ad hoc analyses
- Processing central adjustments to month end and forecast data
- Supporting systems admin - month-end system administration tasks, responding to user issues and requests
- Ad-hoc analysis and project work
Desired Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally possess recent and relevant experience working within a similar systems / finance role and have an sound understanding of data integrity, reporting systems and spreadsheets.
- Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Part Qualified / QBE with a good level of accounting knowledge
- Experience of Finance Systems- ideally with working knowledge of Hyperion
- Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results
- Demonstrate an ability to think and reason logically
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent written communication
- Exceptional communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment, e.g. able to translate complex / technical issues to meet the audience's competency level
- Advanced Excel
