Commercial Accountant

A great new opportunity has arisen for a highly commercial accountant to join a large, national organisation based in Chippenham, who are a leader in their industry. Reporting to the the Head of Corporate Finance, this is an interesting and varied role, which offers exposure to high profile projects.

Job Responsibilities

You will work closely with the Business Development team to ensure the financial and commercial aspects of tender responses are in line with business objectives.

Engage with senior financial and operational managers to undertake financial review of all new business projects, including costing, risk analysis, investment appraisal, pricing and commercials.

Ensure that all financial aspects of a tender comply with company policy.

Brief the Business Development team on the commercials of a project to ensure a comprehensive delivery of this information to external parties.

Meet with customers as required as part of the tender process to discuss the commercials of the proposal and be able to present, negotiate and influence as required.

Person Specification

We are looking for an engaging and highly analytical Qualified Accountant with a strong commercial background working within a fast-paced, bidding environment and overseeing costings, pricing and investment appraisal.

Excellent communication skills are key, as you need to be able to engage with internal and external customers at all levels and convey complex financial information to non-finance professionals.
