Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

This newly created role will report into the Finance Director of this fast growth, financial services business.

Client Details

My client have been established for 20+ years and as such, have a strong heritage and reputable name in the market. Following some recent growth, the need to add a Head of FP&A has become apparent and this person will assist the Finance Director in moving the business to the next level.

Description

Put simply, this role will ensure the business has the correct information to make the best decisions, forecasts and budgets for planning and to assess profitability as well as taking on product pricing. This role will spearhead the new forecasting and BI team. Key responsibilities will include:

Business Planning

• Manage the 5 year plan (updated twice a year)
• Forecast updates
• Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives
• Analysis of complex financial information and reports

Business Information

• Understand and deliver the needs for various departments for operational information and guide the business, assessing performance
• Evaluate processes and improve performance
• Drive efficiencies and understand the profitability by channel
• KPI monitoring

Pricing

• Develop the product profitability models and channel profitability models

Profile

The perfect candidate will be responsible for developing the team but also able to be hands-on in their delivery. An ability to tell the story about the numbers and not just present them will also be key. A background in financial services is essential and ideally from within retail banking.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
