The opportunity



We are looking for a Business Project Manager within the Asia Pacific, Assurance, Financial Accounting & Advisory Services and Climate Change & Sustainability Services team in our Sydney office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis and will have a reporting line to the Asia Pacific Assurance Technology Leader, based in Sydney. The role will include collaboration with the business on their technology projects and requirements and project manage the implementation and operational business processes of the solution. The focus will be on providing quality technology solutions that improve business processes. The role is a new role as the Financial Accounting & Advisory Services and Climate Change & Sustainability Services practice are a growing business (double digit growth). The successful candidate will work with a team of collaborators across the Asia Pacific Area and globally, as well as interaction with our Global IT organisation.

Your key responsibilities

  • Managing the business requirements and solutions for technology for the Assurance Sub Service Lines in Asia Pacific - Financial Accounting and Advisory services and Climate and Sustainability services
  • Managing projects and working to operationalise these projects with a focus on efficient business processes utilising technology
  • Managing the budget for Asia Pacific Assurance technology for the Sub Service Lines
  • Liaising with Assurance Sub Service Line Leaders
  • Liaising with Global IT to facilitate technology projects and implementations

Skills and attributes for success

  • University graduate with at least 4+ years of Project Management experience
  • Strong focus on understanding business processes and drive the right technology solution outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail is required whilst not losing focus on the bigger picture
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships with leadership and all levels of staff, (face-to-face and virtually) effectively
  • Integrity within a professional environment
  • Ability to 'self-manage', keep to deadlines, communicate work progress and escalate high issues when required
  • Strong sense of accountability, good initiative, and can work independently under pressure

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Immediate availability
  • Business mindset, understand how to operationalise projects
  • Project management experience
  • Skills in building business processes around technology solutions.
  • IT technical skills not essential
