The Jamaican operations of a well-established international Audit and Accounting and Business Counselling practice is inviting suitably qualified individuals to apply for the following positions:
○ Audit / Accounting Senior
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1)
To complete audit and accounting assignments in accordance with audit plans;
2)
To supervise and review work assigned to Juniors.
3)
To ensure working papers are properly put together in the accounting file and that working files contain sufficient audit evidence and evidence of work done to enable the Partners and Supervisors to arrive at an opinion on the financial statements;
4)
To assist in the training of juniors, assisting them in sorting out difficulties that may arise on the job;
5)
To review permanent, tax, prior year and any other relevant files before completing an assignment;
6)
To bring all unusual matters discovered while performing assignments to the attention of the Supervisor;
7)
To prepare financial statements relative to the assignment being performed;
8)
To communicate with, and request any additional information needed for the completion of assignment;
9)
To ensure budgeted time on assignments is adhered to and where time limits are expected to be exceeded to discuss this with the supervisor on the job;
10)
Any other duties assigned by the Partners or Supervisors.
