General Job Description:
- Recording the financial transactions of a business on Palladium Accounting System
- Producing and reconciling accounting records up to Trial balance
- Preparing Financial statements
- Budget and forecast preparation
- Reporting financial data irregularities to the Finance Manager
- Analysing financial information and reporting for accuracy, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Assisting in the performance of monthly stock takes
- Reconciling and filing VAT, Payroll taxes Returns
- Management of debtors using relevant systems, i.e. Palladium, and methods
- Issuing customer statements, reconciling, investigating and attending to Customer Queries
- Assisting the Finance department to conduct debt collection activities and (legal knowledge around this subject is advantageous)
- Assisting the Finance department with carrying out creditors Reconciliation
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Preparing Excel, Pivot Reports on various financial aspects
- Setting up pricing matrices and doing costing and discount calculations and assisting the sales team in carrying out financial calculations
- Responsible for the filing and safekeeping of all financial documentation
- Reporting to the Financial Manager on a monthly basis
- Planning, reviewing and administering accounting systems and procedures.
- Analyisng the financial information needs of a business
- Providing advice on financial planning and financial risk management
- Providing management with reports that assist in decision making
- Providing insight into cost performance
- Ability to support the implementation of benchmarking and improvement initiatives
Qualification Requirements
- Com degree /qualification
- CIMA (or equivalent)
- At least 4 years relevant experience.
- ACCA accreditation
- SAIPA
Other Information
- Manufacturing Experience is essential
Package and Remuneration
- Package offered between R 400 000 - R 540 000 per annum CTC depending on verifiable experience and qualifications.
