Project Accountant

A leading manufacturing firm based in Chippenham is looking for a talented Project Accountant for their growing finance team. This highly successful firm offers a world leading range of products to the aviation sector and manufacture to the highest specifications and tolerances. The business has a well-recognised brand internationally and the business unit the post holder is partnering with plays a high profile / critical role within the commercial airline industry.

This varied and exciting role offers an accounting professional exposure to the complete project lifecycle from initial costing through to forecasting and reforecasting in order to ensure business critical projects are delivered on time and within budget. There is also the real opportunity to partner with key engineering stakeholders to ensure they have a firm understanding of project financials and are equipped to make financially prudent and well-informed decisions.

The role would suit a Management accountant who is looking to deploy their business partnering ability in a fast-paced project-based environment where upon they will have the opportunity to escape the cyclical nature of a normal finance role and work in a more commercially focused way. The day to day transactional activities are largely performed by a shared service centre thus leaving the successful applicant to deliver on the value-add aspects of the project accounting process making this a market leading opportunity with a true employer of choice in the South West.
