Junior Actuarial Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Data preparation and checks for experience investigations, valuations and pricing.
Maintenance and improvement of actuarial data processes.
Liaising with auditors on data queries.
Performing experience investigations and reporting on results.
Involvement in ad-hoc projects to improve business understanding.
IAS19 valuations.
Competitor analysis and the compiling and presentation of industry statistics.
Product development and business support as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR FOR THE POSITION:
Appropriate tertiary qualification with Actuarial Science and Statistics as major subjects.
Full completion of part A1, partial completion of Part A2 of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA) 2019 curriculum.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
Up to 2 years relevant experience in the financial services industry.
Knowledge of actuarial data processes.
Strong Excel skills.
Experience with DCS, Prophet and VBA will be advantageous.

Deadline-driven with the ability to work under pressure.
