JOB VACANCY FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - CORPORATE REPORTING A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Accountant at Glanbia plc. in Glanbia House, Kilkenny. This is a 2 year fixed term contract position and will report to the Corporate Reporting Manager . Role Summary The Financial Accountant will support the Corporate reporting team and the wider Group Finance team in preparing, examining, and analysing financial reports and records. This person will be responsible for collecting and maintaining the ledgers for all Euro denominated head office legal entities. The role will also include detecting trends and forecasting future needs. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing detailed statements and to communicate financial information to various stakeholders. Key Elements of the Role Responsibility and ownership for maintaining the SAP ledger for all Euro denominated head office legal entities including the submission of monthly accounts to Group in line with Group reporting requirements and deadlines Key team member in the preparation of head office forecasts, budgets, outlooks and 3-5 year strategy plan On-going liaison with Heads of Corporate Departments and engagement with Group Decision Support, Treasury, Tax, Secretariat, Shared Services/IT to resolve system, process and accounting issues arising Pro-active approach to identifying on-going reporting process developments to reflect changing and evolving needs Preparation of statutory financial statements for certain head office companies Preparation of various disclosure requirements in the Group's Interim Results and the Group Annual Report Liaising with the external auditors to facilitate their year-end audit requirements Other ad-hoc finance projects Qualifications Qualified Financial Accountant with a minimum of 2 years post qualification accounting and commercial experience ideally gained in a multi-national environment Skills & Experience Technically competent and good knowledge of IFRS Strong hands-on SAP experience would be an advantage Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interact with persons at all levels across the Group Advanced Excel skills and strong Word and PowerPoint skills Competencies Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information Strong written communication and reporting ability Self-motivated, proactive, ability to ensure tasks are finalised to strict deadlines DISCLAIMER The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by this role.
