Assistant Accountant - Tax, 12 month contract, Up to £30K, Cambridgeshire

A prestigious technology leader in Cambridgeshire, is seeking an Assistant Accountant - Tax Specialist to join their established team on a 12 month contract. This global company has operated for over 50 years and prides themselves on their innovative approach.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Team Lead, the Tax Specialist will be responsible for supporting the overall financial statement preparation in compliance with internal guidelines and procedures. You will be involved with performing tax related activities related to direct and indirect tax, managing Group tax payments and preparing analysis involved in quarterly and annual tax reporting. As the Tax Specialist you will also be involved in preparing VAT returns and supporting management with existing tax risks and issues.
This is a great opportunity for a Part-Qualified Accountant to gain exposure within a tax environment. Experience in Tax is not essential for this role.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have an AAT qualification or be part-qualified, able to deliver results in a fast-paced environment and have strong communication skills. In addition, you will have excellent attention to detail and some understanding of tax.
