As part of an exclusive assignment, Michael Page have been engaged to support on the recruitment of a Head of FP&A within a market-leading consumer led business in the West Midlands. As part of the wider business strategy to take market share through organic growth, the Head of FP&A will drive a commercially driven decision making culture through insight and qualitative business information.
Description
Leading a large financial planning and analysis function, the Head of FP&A will deliver critical management information to the organisation that will enable better and more effective business decisions. The role will report directly into the Director of Finance who will support by enabling the autonomy whilst providing the tools to deliver effectively in this role. You will also:
- Recruit, train, develop and manage a large FP&A team
- Partner closely with director level budget holders on a regular basis
- Contribute and influence the annual forecast and quarterly reforecasting
- Provide valuable data, insight, analysis and commentary for the board
- Look to drive improvement to reporting and analysis that goes out to budget holders
- Contribute heavily to key projects across the organisation
Profile
The Head of FP&A will be a proven leader with high levels of emotional intelligence, empathy and motivational skills. The role will provide and even balance between people management, analysis and senior stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will possess a strong track record in a leadership capacity within FP&A and ideally:
- A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience of Business planning & analysis, together with desirable experience in financial control and reporting
- Experience working in a dynamic and fast paced consumer environment and ability to adapt to change
- Strong focus on financial analysis and achieving result
- Very strong excel modelling
- Consumer led industry experience however this is not essential
Job Offer
£65,000 - £80,000 + benefits
