Senior Analyst /Associate Director, Strategy & Corporate Development

These influential strategic advisory roles are within one of Australia’s premier banking groups and represent an exciting career opportunity for experienced Management Consultant / Business Development / M&A professionals to help define the Group’s overall strategy and support key strategic initiatives and new business opportunities across the Bank.

We are currently recruiting two roles at Senior Analyst & Associate Director level. The positions report to the General Manager Strategy and will play a key role a diverse range of strategic projects across the organisation. Specifically this will include:

• Drive development of important initiatives utilising strategic rationale, risk assessment and financial assessment of each opportunity
• Synthesise findings and develop compelling, structured business presentations that clearly articulate recommendations
• Support implementation of these initiatives as required
• Ensure alignment with the agreed enterprise strategy
• Lead and support project teams including strategy analysts
• Provide input to the business planning process
• Develop and maintain relationships with GM's and other business leaders
• Develop a detailed understanding of the industry, market & competitor trends including implications for the business

With the continuing change, innovation and disruption occurring across the banking industry, you will identify and recommend areas of focus based on the evolving market and competitor landscape, and support Senior Executives with strategic responses relating to new business opportunities as they arise.

You will be professionally qualified with practical experience in strategy formulation, business development and major project management, ideally gained within a large financial services or corporate organisation, a top tier Management Consulting firm or leading Investment Bank.

Critical to your success will be your strong understanding of strategy and the business development process, specifically relating to the identification of new business opportunities and your ability to take ideas from conceptual phase through to execution.
