Senior Technical Accountant

Robert Half are recruiting for an integrated energy giant headquartered in London with a global turnover exceeding £8 Billion and over 13,000 employees globally. The organisation has operations spanning electricity generation and gas and are the UK's biggest supplier of electricity by volume in Great Britain and the largest supplier to British businesses. They are currently looking to recruit for a Senior Technical Accountant to their ever-growing finance team.

As a Senior Technical Accountant, you will report directly into the Technical Accounting Manager. You will be the lead contact for the technical accounting topics requested by business units, ensuring accounting policies are appropriate for the business, consistently applied and in compliance with relevant IFRS and Group policies. As part of your role, you will be responsible for the statutory accounting process for the organisation's legal entities with a view to improving and developing the overall process. You will provide technical expertise, ensuring that statutory accounts produced are fully compliant with relevant IFRS and group policies. You will also be the central point of reference for IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 technical advice.

Salary & Requirements: £50-54k + Further benefits including a yearly bonus. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified, come from a practice background and possess prior audit or accounts prep experience.
