Accounts Manager

A growing firm of accountants based in Taunton is searching for an experienced Accounts Manager to join their team as a key addition to this successful business in a hands on and managerial role, delivering accounts/tax and all around services to a varied portfolio of clients as a key right hand support to partners.

Description

Joining as Accounts Manager you will be responsible for a very varied client portfolio, across a wide range of industry sectors, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies varying in turnovers, size and complexity. This role will be reporting directly to the directors of the accountancy practice and you will have the opportunity to take a lead role in developing this business and progress in your career. You will be dealing with the completion / reviewing of annual accounts and tax computations ensuring that all accounts & tax returns are filed with the relevant authorities on time, and clients accounting records are maintained accurately throughout the year. You will provide management figures, with regular client meetings and build long term, go to, trusted relationships with your clients. You will advise on the latest cloud software, review quarterly VAT returns & filing at HMRC in line with making tax digital, assisting in the review of monthly payrolls & filing at HMRC, proactively deal with client queries in a very varied role, carving a key managerial position within this growing firm of accountants.

Profile

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent with a career background and strength within accounts/tax/audit etc and all around, general accountancy practice service delivery to wide ranging sole trade, partnership and limited company clients, developed within an accountancy practice firm environment. You will have developed your career to at least experienced 'Senior Accountant' or preferably Manager levels and be looking to take your career to the next level, within a firm and role where you can see a genuine clear progression and development path on offer.

Job Offer
