A multi-national media company based in cape town CBD is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their Head Office team.Job Title: Head office Accountanta.)Accounting and Financial Reporting
b.)SARS Requirements
,Attention to detail, analytical,organised, ability to work under pressure,good verbal and writtencommunication skills, problem solving skills, team player and supervisory skillsSoftwareSAGE X3 (preferable)Microsoft Office (compulsory), SARS e-Filing (compulsory)Must have worked on Caseware
- Full accounting function up to trial balance
- Analyse financial information to detect variances, weaknesses and risks
- Prepare month-end files with supporting documentation (General Ledger reconciliation)
- Prepare billing information and invoices on a monthly basis
- Prepare audit packs, documents and schedules required by the external auditors
- Assist with the external audit.
- Month end journal entries
- Reconcile intercompany loans
- Assist with the BBBEE audit
- Calculate Income Tax, VAT
- Prepare VAT submissions and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly working capital for the group
- Assist Group financial accountant with collation of reporting pack from subsidiaries and consolidating them into Group reporting pack i.e Income statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow statement and related notes
- Other adhoc tasks
b.)SARS Requirements
- Submit monthly statutory returns i.e. VAT201
- Submit Provisional tax returns
- Process SARS payments and maintain SARS accounts
- Attend to SARS audits and submit supporting documents
- Applications for tax clearance certificates
- B com Degree in Accounting with the following requirements:
- Financial Accounting Level 3
- Auditing Level 3
- Taxation Level 3
- SAICA / SAIPA Articles part or completed.
- Post-article experience beneficial
