You will join the Record to Report team that is responsible for a wide range of areas including Fixed Assets & Tooling, Treasury Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Accounting and a team of Regional GL accountants responsible for statutory and tax compliance along with legal entity oversight.
This is a key role in a fast-paced environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements.

Description
In this role you will act as a subject matter expert for capital expenditure accounting across all Apple entities. This involves partnering with Apple’s Retail, Tooling, Real Estate & Development (RE&D), Information Systems & Technology (IS&T), Internet Software & Services (IS&S) teams to develop a deep understanding of the various capital expenditure activities. You will also need to ensure compliance with both US & Local GAAP accounting standards.
The preferred candidate will gain exposure to Apple's reporting systems used to track project progress and expenditure (WBS) as well as the SAP infrastructure supporting property, plant and equipment transactions. You are responsible for providing assurance as part of the standard close, statutory and tax cycles and also on an ad hoc basis.
A key part of this role will be providing oversight around the accounting for Capex activities across all business teams and providing regular updates to senior management around progress. To do this effectively, the preferred candidate will partner closely with the business teams to ensure sufficient knowledge around project status and any potential project risks.
