ACCOUNTING OFFICER

ACCOUNTING OFFICER
The Accounting Officer will report directly to the Finance Business Partner and is expected to be self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and communication skill. This high performing individual must have exceptional time management and organization skills. The individual must be have keen attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties include:
* Daily recording of Kingston Deposits- with weekly reconciliation of Van Sales and Cashier Imprest Accounts
* Processing of Accounts Payable invoices
* Monthly Preparation of AR subledger to General Ledger
* Processing of credit notes - Farm contractors and Trade returns
* Quarterly Bad Debt reconciliation assessment and update in SAP
* Processing of credit applications
* Monthly calculation of Sales Team incentives
* Petty Cash Accounting
* Assist with day end close out of the cashier
* Analyses and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts.
* Assist with co-ordination of internal and external audit and the associated deliverables
Education Experience
* University graduate with Accounting or Business degree with minimum ACCA level II qualification. Strong MS Office or spreadsheet skills.
* At least 1 year of industry experience in a similar position. Preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
Required Skills & Competencies
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Working knowledge of SAP.
* Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
* Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
