Our client is looking for a Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant to join their exciting team in Swindon. This is a maternity cover to provide full accounting support in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the preparation and posting of nominal ledger journals
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reports in liaison with the Senior Finance Business Partner
- Assist in preparation of month end schedules
- Preparation of management accounts for member groups
- Preparation and reconciliation of Group Quarterly VAT returns
- Statutory accounts and tax return preparation (alongside the FC) and leading the year-end audit management.
To be considered for the role of Financial Accountant, you will be/have:
- Part-qual or recently qual ACA/ ACCA, with a minimum of AAT qualification
- A minimum of three years' experience within a Financial Accountant role (or equivalent).
- Proven experience of accounts prep, appropriate reconciliation, posting journals, determining accruals and producing reports.
- Strong Excel skills with previous ERP usage experience.
- Action-orientated, full of energy and keen to progress and develop.
- Fantastic problem-solving skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
