Assistant Accountant

My client are a service provider organisation in the Southport area who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team. You will be part of a small finance team within an organisation that have been established for just over 40 years and are continuously striving to improve their product quality and pipeline. They pride themselves on excellent customer service resulting in repeat business and this is a great opportunity for someone to work autonomously and be involved with the running of the office.

Main Accounts Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly accounts to trial balance
• Assisting with management accounts
• Preparing and processing weekly & monthly payroll
• Bank reconciliations and managing cash flow & payments
• Producing monthly profit & loss

Person Specification:

• Previous experience of working across all areas of accounts
• Good accounts system experience with the ability to pick up systems quickly
• Ability to prioritise a demanding workload
