TEAM LEAD, ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
OVERVIEW: KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services seek to identify a Team Lead, Accounts Receivable to support the Finance and Accounting (F&A) Accounts Receivable process area; performing tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures including, researching and processing cash applications, processing adjustments, wire transfers, and refunds, monitoring and responding to email queries, invoice preparation and distribution, preparing and sending statements.
The position will be assigned to our rapidly growing KPMG Jamaica Expanded Support Services (JESS), which provides services to a major client in the United States.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Post client's payments by recording cash, cheques, and credit card transactions and entering them into the general ledger or accounting software • Develop and deliver various reporting and analysis • Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices. • Prepare various types of reconciliations and analysis • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries • Monitor client's account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc. • Prioritizes work assignments in order to meet deadlines
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and COMPETENCIES: Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent professional accreditation • Minimum of three years of progressive accounts receivable and general accounting experience, in a people management capacity • Advanced knowledge of Accounts Receivable and General Accounting Principles
