A permament role is being recruited for an Assistant Accountant based in Liverpool city centre.

Client Details

A manufacturer for a well known brand, this business will offer the successful applicant an exciting opportunity to support the finance function to cover a maternity in what will be a highly exposed role.

Description

Reporting to the site Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the month end close process
  • Providing detailed analysis and timely management information to key stakeholders
  • Supporting the budget process
  • Analysing performance vs budget / forecast with commentary on variances
  • Monthly forecasting
  • Weekly, daily, and monthly reporting on financial performance
  • Analysis on wastage, labour and other KPIs
  • Supporting the product costing process

Profile

The Assistant Accountant must have the following:
  • Experience working in a finance based role, ideally in a manufacturing / FMCG environment
  • Experience of working with an ERP system is advantageous
  • Able to develop and build rapport with stakeholders across the business, especially non-finance
  • Highly numerate and strong analytical skills
  • Strong organisation skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Good team player and self-motivated with a high degree of drive and enthusiasm
