Head of Finance

Robert Half Finance and Accounting have a vacancy for a Head of Finance for a dynamic Cardiff based SME

The Role

The Head of Finance is responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management of the Group, ensuring compliance with all financial regulatory requirements. They shall support the business to ensure it achieves and exceeds its strategic and financial objectives and shall manage the Finance team to ensure that it provides the required commercial support to the business and customers.

Provide an accurate and timely financial service including preparation, setting and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, management and financial accounts and advice

Manage Group cash flow
Ensure that budgets and management accounts accurately reflect business activity, that accruals and adjustments are being made correctly and that variances from budgets or other issues are investigated and resolved
Prepare required financial reports as and when required

Appraise Operations Director of key financial issues enabling them to understand the financial position of the Group
Responsible for all statutory reporting, compliance, annual accounts, VAT or equivalent in all territories
Manage annual audit process in conjunction with the appointed auditors to ensure accounts are produced within the required deadlines
Manage banking and financing relationships, including loan and financing negotiations and ensuring cost effectiveness
Manage relationships with tax advisors

Profile

Qualified accountant to at least CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CIPFA level

Experience in a senior financial position, including strategic and operational financial management

Strong technical accounting skills and expert knowledge of financial control systems and procedures and management of cash flows

Salary & Benefits

£55,000 to £70,000

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
