Management Accountant - Commercial

The Permanent Division of Robert Half Finance & Accounting are working exclusively with a well-known and prestigious origination based in Northampton who are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Management Accountant - Commercial who can think outside the box.

This is a newly created position to support the Finance Manager with driving operational performance, development of budgets, controlling expenditure and preparing financial statements.

Management Accountant - Commercial / Northampton / £30,000 - £40,000 plus study & Bonus

Role

Working directly for the Finance Manager, you will support senior stakeholders with the decision making process by providing accurate, timely and relevant information to ensure the organisation achieve targets.

Responsibilities will include:

• Produce timely and reliable management information reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Anticipate and investigate variances against budgets and provide in depth analysis of these differences.
• Responsible for the cost lines within the profit and loss accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Implement finance performance measures across the business.
• Hold regular meetings with senior management to discuss the budgetary position and agree action plans where possible.

Profile

• It is essential the candidate is studying towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or newly qualified (up to 2 years' PQE).
• Strong communication skills - able to push back & able to support stakeholder with projects.
• High degree of commercial acumen.
• Strong Excel knowledge.
• Able to work within tight deadlines.
• Results orientated, with a desire to succeed.

Salary & Benefits

The role of Management Accountant - Commercial is paying between £30,000 - £40,000 plus study & benefits.
