Fraud Operations Engineer

What is your tribe mission?



To deliver leading Fraud, Financial Crime and Retail Decisioning and Collections enterprise services, which support our customers in Australia and Institutional Divisions and which enable ANZ to meet its customer, risk, regulatory and compliance obligations.

What will Your Day look like?



As a Fraud Operations Engineer you will design, build, unit-test and support Falcon implementations used within our Tribe. You will partner closely with a Falcon platform squad to understand the requirements and to ensure the delivery of work meets customer expectations.

What will be in your toolkit?

  • Good Understanding of Fraud Business Domain
  • Experience in working on Fraud detection business and technology platforms like Falcon, Hunter, Carreker etc
  • Engineering experience on Mainframe technologies (COBOL, VSAM, JCL, CICS) is mandatory. Good understanding or experience of windows/UNIX scripting skills & DB skills like SQL, Oracle.
  • Engineering Experience in building and supporting applications in Java
  • Engineering Experience in Docker or containerization technology stack added advantage.
  • Ability to triage and diagnose defects/issues across the whole infrastructure (Mainframe, Windows, UNIX, storage etc …)
  • Knowledge of DevOps will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge and Expertise about Continuous Monitoring Tech Stack like New Relic, Splunk, DynaTrace desirable
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence etc) are nice to have.
  • Have a thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies bringing benefits into the Tech Area
  • Mixture of functional and technical skills where requirements can be driven/reviewed with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills strong problem resolving capability and ability to handle complex trade-off decisions.
  • Experience with working operations and architecture squads for building scalable & supportable application.
  • Pays attention to the detail and demonstrates problem solving capability to develop and deliver quality applications that delight customers

  • To be comfortable to be working with a cross campus squad
  • Assist the development of others
  • Understand customer needs to make sound judgments

You might also have the following specialised skills:

  • Experience is Groovy Scripting and Knowledge of Dev Ops Automation tools, such as Bamboo, Udeploy, Artifactory, Jenkins etc.
  • Knowledge of WAS 8.5.5.x onwards.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL Databases like Couchbase
  • Containerization, Dockers or Google Kubernetes Platform
