Our Client is looking for a Finance Business Partner with extensive experience in the Financial Services Industry.

Description

  • Establishing financial monitoring processes to support teams in the regular analysis of P&Ls
  • Establishing an appropriate financial control framework around the approval, delivery and tracking of project expenditure and benefit realisation, and improving the transparency for reporting how project spend and benefits differs to the plan/actuals
  • Supporting the financial appraisal of development opportunities and the ongoing management of third party financial arrangement
  • Operating as a key conduit into the central Finance team
  • Producing accurate, clear reporting of financial information supported by insightful analysis and recommendations to support the long term, sustainable profitability of the business
  • Ensuring budgets are allocated and managed according to organisational priorities, prevailing controls and policies and in-line with annual planning cycles
  • Managing the process for in-year new funding requests, through review and approval
  • Obtaining actual spend data from departments delivering initiatives on behalf of Protection e.g. IT, electronic trading, third parties in a form that can be compared to agreed budget and allocated to Partnership specific P&Ls where required
  • Establishing a cost benefits analysis framework to assess the viability of future projects
  • Creating regular reports of spend against plan and forecast for year

Profile

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in the Financial Services sector
  • Great understanding of commercial and financial management, budget control and cost optimisation, ideally gained through experience in an organisation undergoing significant transformational change
  • Experience of working in fast paced, multi-channel customer focused organisations, within a financial services environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, particularly adept at simplifying and articulating complex topics and employing a wide range of communication styles to engage with all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with all business areas and especially the central Finance function
