Redmill Consulting is working exclusively with an industry leading client who is currently looking for a Financial Accountant for an exciting permanent role in their growing team. The company have a strong client base, many of which are renowned businesses. This position will be ideally suited to a Part-Qualified or QBE Accountant who is good with producing numbers and has the ability to explain finance to non-finance stakeholders.

JOB
As Financial Accountant you will have the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Preparing financial statements & management accounts including P&L, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis & commentaries
- Preparing cash forecasts to ensure that cash is actively managed, including escalation of issues
- Preparing, reviewing & challenging balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns
- Preparing financial reports & other MI for the business & challenging assumptions
- Overseeing elements of the finance team's work
- Ensuring data integrity & accuracy & that appropriate internal controls are in place
- Supporting the management team in reporting the overall performance & ad-hoc projects
- Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management & internal controls
- Managing & developing finance processes to ensure that robust controls are in place
YOU
As Financial Accountant you will be skilled and/or qualified in the following:
- Skilled in completing the majority of the listed duties
- Skills in management accounting & business partnering are essential, the more technical skills such as VAT are advantageous
- Good communication skills with the ability to challenge the status quo in a pragmatic & solution-focused manner in order to give the business a commercial advantage
- Part-Qualified or QBE Accountant, ideally with experience of working in industry
- Strong MS Excel skills i.e pivot tables & lookups
- Strong numerical & analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Positive 'can do' attitude
