Our client is a recognised leader within the global Alternative Fund Management sector. The business has grown aggressively over the past few years and currently have over £600bn in AUA, with a team of 3000 staff globally. This role is an integral part of the global finance team, and will work closely with the Global CFO & Deputy CFO to support the Group FC in improving reporting processes and financial control.

Working within a team of 7, key responsibilities:
  • Supporting Group FC in the production of the monthly management accounts for Group entities
  • Owning the consolidation process for a substantial number of entities
  • Leading the preparation of the annual financial statements for the Group entities
  • Maintaining a strong control environment & supporting the introduction of new processes
  • Driving reporting efficiencies across the Group
  • Reducing reporting times and increasing quality
  • Balance sheet management, including cash flow optimisation for Group entities
  • Oversight of Group tax policy transfer recharges
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial systems
  • Leading with cost reduction processes

Candidate Profile:
  • Experience from within AFM / Fund Administration is crucial
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA or similar
  • 5+ years PQE within financial services sector
  • Demonstrable experience of Business analysis/Project Management and process improvement
  • Strong / Advanced user of MS Excel/PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and regional GAAP differences
  • Strong self-starter, able to work independently and as part of an integrated team
  • Clear organization skills and ability to articulate complex issues concisely
  • Highly skilled at problem solving, with a logical and tenacious approach
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills as considerable flexibility is required for the role
  • Concur, Prophix and Financial Force experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail
