Overview

This company is one of the largest independent chartered accountancy groups in the West of England. Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Management of a portfolio of clients, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies dealing.
  • Scheduling the department's work effectively, assessing the resources and time required.
  • Responsible for personal and department chargeable time budget.
  • Liaising with client portfolio managers across the firm to identify jobs to be scheduled and allocating to staff as appropriate.
  • Managing direct reports (accounting and trainee staff within the department), reviewing work and undertaking regular performance reviews for direct reports
  • Being proactive in identifying opportunities for the provision of additional services

Minimum Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA
  • 5 years' practice experience ideally.
  • Wide range of general practice experience for owner managed businesses, including personal tax (essential)
  • Interpersonal skills to gain credibility internally and with clients.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Mobility across the practice offices and client sites.
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours when client needs require it.
  • Expected to participate in networking and business development events outside of working hours.

Hours

This is a permanent position, either part time or full time, hours and days negotiable. Minimum 4 days across the week.
